Hospitality sector is a vital pillar of economy

Industry and commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro affirms the government’s support for the Kingdom’s hotels sector, as the basic pillar of the tourism industry in the country

Industry and commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro has affirmed the government’s support for the Kingdom’s hotels sector, as the basic pillar of the tourism industry in the country.

This came as he visited the Mövenpick, where he was welcomed by its General Manager Heinz Kraehenbuehl, and the Mercure Grand Hotel in Al-Seef District where he was welcomed by its General Manager Yasser Bahaa.

During the visits, the Minister expressed admiration of the two hotels’ advanced levels, noting that they meet the international standards.

He also expressed the government’s appreciation of the efforts exerted by those in charge of hotels to provide quality services so as to be able to attract as many tourists as possible, calling for the need to enhance cooperation and coordination between all sides in order to spur the tourism sector in the Kingdom
