Almoayyed gets BD17m Muharraq Mall contract

The contract to construct Muharraq Seef Mall was signed by the Muharraq Mall Company represented by its Chairman Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Al Moayyed Contracting Co represented by CEO Mannil Thomas Mathews.

Construction of the BD 17 million project which commenced on the 15th July 2012 and is scheduled for completion in December 2013.

The development is situated between the Muharraq Club and the Arad Fort, and has been designed to take full advantage of its frontage onto the newly constructed corniche and the Bay. The site is owned by the Muharraq Club which has welcomed this initiative and is assisting to facilitating the project to ensure its success.

The mall will be constructed over 2 retail floors offering approximately 30,000 square meters of retail space with ample parking underneath on the ground level. The project also includes an open air amphitheatre that will be used for public and cultural events.

“We are delighted to have appointed Almoayyed Contracting to carry out this project and are convinced that our project will provide Muharraq Mall Company and the residents of Muharraq with a high quality Mall that will serve as a focal point for the Community. This investment is an indication of our confidence in the Kingdom of Bahrain and of the policies and initiatives of the Government,” Shaikh Abdulla, said.

“Almoayyed Contracting is proud to be associated with Muharraq Mall Company WLL for the construction of their prestigious Shopping Mall in Bahrain. We look forward to being part of this strategic project that is aimed at providing enhanced facilities to our community and in the long run, help in the economic betterment of the country,” Mathews, said.
