Bahrain-Egypt enjoys brotherly ties

The new Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Isam Awad has lauded the outstanding historical relations bonding Bahrain and Egypt in all fields, and their steady growth thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Mohammed Morsi.
In a statement he made upon arrival to Bahrain, Ambassador Isam Awad described Bahraini-Egyptian relations as unique and exemplary, expressing strong resolve to do his utmost to bolster them in all fields and expand joint cooperation, in line with the instructions of the Egyptian President.

He also expressed delight and honour at being appointed to represent his country in Bahrain.

The new envoy also praised the distinguished role played by the Egyptian community in enhancing the kingdom’s development march, adding that supporting Egyptian nationals in Bahrain and helping them overcome the problems facing them top the agenda of his duties.

Ambassador Isam Awad worked in Egyptian embassies in East Berlin, Rabat and Abidjan. He was also a Chargé d’Affaires in Bratislava and an Ambassador in Venezuela. He also held senior positions in the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Ministry.
