Bahrain to host Conference on Human Development

Labour Minister Jamil Humaidan, the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Vocational Training, received in his office Origin Group Chief Executive Ahmed Mohammed Al Banna, the general coordinator of the 5th Regional Conference and Exhibition for Human Development, which will be held under the patronage of the Labour Minister from September 24 to 26, 2012, under the theme “Challenges of Integrating the National Workforce in the Labour Market”.

The Labour Minister got assured about preparations for the event which is organized by Origin Group in cooperation with the Labour Ministry, the International Labour Organisation, the Arab Labour Organisation and the International Federation of Development and Training Organisations.

Up to 300 specialists from the GCC and Arab countries will take part alongside 20 education, training and human development experts as well as 35 exhibitors.

The Labour Minister underlined the importance of the issues that will be spotlighted at the conference, including mainly creating more job opportunities for the GCC youth in light of the changes witnessed by the GCC labour markets.

The Origin Group Chief Executive hailed the Labour Minister’s patronage of the event and the efforts exerted by the Labour Ministry to ensure its success.
