VIVA Bahrain announced the implementation of key network optimization activities in coordination with Huawei, STC Group strategic partner and provider of technology, in order to continuously provide VIVA customers with best in class voice and broadband service quality in the Kingdom.

“We are extremely pleased to announce our latest network enhancement,” Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, VIVA CEO, said.

“Since our launch in 2010, VIVA has continued to regularly optimize and improve our state-of-the-art network, which has enabled us to utilize the latest in technology and combine it with innovative products and services, giving our customers unparalleled broadband and voice services.”

“VIVA customers can expect an enhanced network experience from this latest optimization exercise,” Al Wetaid, added.

“Not only will the overall network speed increase substantially with the scheduled network optimization, but so will reliability and capacity, providing them with a smoother superior experience.”

“The implementation of the planned optimization activities on VIVA’s HSPA+ network will allow for larger volumes of data traffic while giving VIVA’s mobile customers an even richer communication experience. This initiative builds on the strategic partnership Huawei and VIVA have established since VIVA’s inception,” ZHU Hongfei, VP of ME Region, Huawei, added.

“Since its beginning of operations in Bahrain VIVA has played a leading role in raising industry benchmarks through the launch of a number of firsts in broadband technology to the Kingdom, including the HSPA+ network in 2012 with speeds up to 21.1Mbps, 42Mbps broadband and the introduction of the cutting-edge 4G/LTE network.”
