Pakistan Navy participates in Arabian Gauntlet 2011

Three Pakistan Navy ships Saif, Muhafiz and Munsif are taking part in the ongoing 11 days Exercise Arabian Gauntlet which kicked off on April 18, 2011.

“There friendly port calls are exchanged frequently to strengthen the existing fraternal relations between the Pakistan Navy and the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Royal Naval Force,” according to a statement issued by the Pakistan Embassy in Manama.

“Such goodwill visits over the decades have been remained an integral part of the very cordial and brotherly relations between the two sides,” Aurangzeb, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Pakistan Embassy said.

The commanding Officers of the visiting Pakistan Navy ships will pay courtesy calls on the dignitaries of Bahrain Defence Force during their stay in Bahrain. On 26th April Pakistan Navy onboard PNS Saif will host a reception for the BDF officials, diplomatic corps, Bahraini and Pakistani community members. The reception will be by invitation only.
