The walk started at the band stand inside the park and followed a circular route both inside and outside the park, ending back at the band stand. Every participant received a Family Walk shirt and cap. Present at the activity were members of the Association of the Deaf and the Association of the Blind.

The event was attended by Bapco’s Chief Executive, Gordon Smith, Deputy Chief Executive for Refining and Marketing Ebrahim Talib and some members of the Management. Refreshments were available throughout the walk. The event featured a number of activities including children’s coloring activities and music played by a musical band. The total distance of the walk was 2.8 KM and took roughly 30 – 45 minutes to complete. The walk is not competitive nor a race i.e. everyone is a winner.
