Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG hits Bahraini market

Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG has just arrived at Al Haddad Motors and it is the most powerful SLK of all time.

“The SLK 55 AMG is the perfect embodiment of the new AMG brand claim of “Driving Performance”. In the compact high-performance roadster segment there is nothing to compare to its combination of tangible driving dynamics, superior sportiness, unique high-technology and low fuel consumption,” the General Manager Graeme Newport at Al Haddad Motors, said.

“Its newly developed AMG 5.5-litre V8 engine has peak output of 422 hp and maximum torque of 540 Nm and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. High levels of driving dynamics are ensured thanks to the AMG sports suspension with Direct-Steer system, Torque Vectoring Brakes and 3-stage ESP, as well as the AMG high-performance braking system,” he added.

“AMG is celebrating its 45th anniversary, and the current AMG model range is becoming larger and more varied than ever. Sales of AMG models in Bahrain are up over 80% this year which is testament to both the cars and the focus we have created in Al Haddad Motors in 2012,” Newport, said.

“This third-generation of the SLK comes with distinctive AMG light-alloy wheels, specific AMG bodystyling with AMG spoiler lip and two chrome-plated twin tailpipes. Alongwith the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission which includes automatic double-declutching when downshifting, the SLK55 can be equipped with Magic Sky Control on the panoramic vario-roof. The roof opens and closes in less than 20 seconds, transforming the open-top Roadster into a closed-top Coupé with rigid roof at the touch of a button,” Mark Price, Sales Manager at Al Haddad, added.
