The First Conference on creating opportunities for young businessmen held at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) under the patronage of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
“The conference was aimed at creating business opportunities for young educated Bahrainis as part of efforts to enhance the scope for young Bahrainis to excel as entrepreneurs and not as job seekers when the leave university,” a leading entrepreneur and BCCI board member Khalid Amin said.
“With the help of Tamkeen, the BCCI is targeting about 500 young entrepreneurs to get on the right track of starting their own businesses and while they get technical and financial support,” Khalid added.
Khalid, who is also Chairman of the Committee of Young Businessmen said that the conference on this topic shows the commitment of the BCCI and the aspirations of the youth work and the challenges facing the sector.
“Credit crunch has created many opportunities for the businesses and we want young Bahrainis to seize this opportunity,” he added.
The conference titled “your steps towards growth” will be addressed by the CEO Mumtalakat Talal Al Zain and a leading expert from Singapore and both speakers will highlight the salient features of the existing business opportunities.
The Chairman BCCI Dr Esam Fakhro said that patronage of Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad shows the importance of the subject as well relevance to the national economic development.
Dr Fakhro said that event received an overwhelming response being the first of its kind, which discusses at length and in a practical way away from theorizing on the subject to motivate and empower young people. The conference will also focus on the foundations of a successful businesses, the challenges and the role of “empowerment” in strengthening the role of youth and create opportunities for them, and the event is gaining in large importance of the audience are young Bahrainis who count on them a lot in building the future of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He said that the list of speakers include a number of specialists, tests the quality and unique in the area to stimulate and empower young people in the area of business, leads the list, chief executive of the property of Talal Al-Zain, Lee Jr., director of the Silver Capital Investment Pte Ltd, and Thaer Emad Director projects in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for the development of small and medium enterprises.
