The last batch of UAE troops to be deployed in the Kingdom arrived here on Friday evening. They will join their GCC Joint Peninsula Shield counterparts already deployed for the sake of helping maintain order and security in Bahrain.
UAE’s participation is a noble and honourable stance stemming from the principles of common destiny and joint cooperation bonding the Kingdom and the UAE in all fields, especially the defence one.
The GCC states’ resolve to help the Kingdom overcome the current situation comes amid the regretful incidents that have, over the past weeks, disrupted security, terrorised citizens and residents, brought economic development to a real standstill and posed a serious threat, not only to Bahrain, but also to the GCC region as a whole.
The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) calls upon citizens and residents to welcome the friendly Peninsula Shield troops and cooperate with them fully.
