'Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are one country, one nation'

April 28, 2011
0

Bahrain-Saudi Arabia’s deep-rooted fraternal ties and strong bonds between the people of two countries took a center stage during the celebrations kicked off on Thursday across the country.

The Kingdom of Bahrain Bahrain’s ministries, state departments, schools, streets and malls were decorated with the Bahraini and Saudi leaderships’ photos and decked with the two countries’ flags as Bahrain celebrated love for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The official and public festivities testify to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Abdulla’s keen interest in enhancing the distinguished bilateral ties at all levels.

The celebration is a token of gratitude to Saudi Arabia’s leadership and people for standing by Bahrain during the recent unrest, which revealed the true nature of the exemplary solid ties bonding the two nations.

In this context, the Shaikh Isa Cultural Centre (SICC) held, following the directives of Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the centre’s Board of Trustees, a ceremony in which the centre’s affiliates raised the photos of the two countries’ wise leaderships and flags and praised the deep-rooted Bahraini-Saudi relations.

The Shaikh Isa Cultural Centre’s CEO Khuldoon Aba Hussain took pride in the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, asserting that the centre’s employees and affiliates are united behind the wise leadership for the sake of promoting peace and stability nationwide.

The Northern Governorate organised the “Loyalty to the Wise Leadership Day”.

During the event, the Northern Governor Ja’afar bin Hassan bin Rajab hailed the efforts exerted by the government and local sides for the sake of preserving the kingdom’s hard-won achievements, extending the Northern Governorates’ citizens’ heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership.

He also lauded the supportive stances of GCC countries, especially Saudi Arabia, and the crucial role they played in restoring security and stability in the Kingdom.

Bin Rajab stressed that all should join ranks in order to consolidate national unity, affirming that the pioneering Reform Project anchored by HM King Hamad during his prosperous era is the only guarantor of rights.

He also credited the government, led by HRH Premier, for achieving world-level accomplishments and HRH Crown Prince for ensuring a brighter future for the Kingdom.

He also lauded the honourable stances voiced by Bahraini citizens, regardless of their sectarian affiliations, during the crisis and their massive support and rallying behind the wise leadership. “We are proud of Al Khalifa’s rule” and that Bahrainis are capable of solving all their issues should they engage in dialogue, reject foreign interference and stand by their legitimate leadership.”

The participants praised the landmark achievements attained in the Kingdom, praising the crucial role played by the Interior Ministry, led by Lt. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.

As to the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), it organised a green day entitled “Saudis and Bahrainis: a United people with a Common Destiny” in tribute to Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with the kingdom during the unrest.

On this occasion, RCO Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyad extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad, RCO’s Honourary President, noting that HM the King’s wisdom has helped promote security and stability in the Kingdom.

Al Sayyd praised the Saudi Arabia, led by King Abdulla, for supporting the kingdom during the most critical situation it faced throughout its history.

He also lauded HRH Premier, HRH Crown Prince and the loyal Bahraini citizens whose unity and efforts helped the Kingdom re-establish normality, stability and security.

Concerning the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), it celebrated the love of “Bu Mita’ab”, asserting that Saudi Arabia’s unforgettable support for the kingdom denotes the strong fraternal ties bonding the two countries and their peoples.

On the occasion, EWA’s CEO Shaikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa stated that EWA is proud of honouring King Abdulla as a leader who is “dear to all Bahrainis”.

He also said EWA’s employees organised the ceremony to show their love for “Bu Mita’ab” as a great man, express their loyalty and allegiance to HM King Hamad, HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince and prove to the world that Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are one people and one nation.
