A campaign of allegiance pledge to the leadership and swords launched by Al Sayegh family has become Bahrain’s largest festival with hundreds of thousands Bahrainis and residents have so far signed up this national campaign.

Keeping in view the overwhelming success now the similar campaigns will be hosted at all five governorates and abroad.

“This has turned into a biggest public festival since its start on April 13th as people of Bahrain, including residents, signed up in huge numbers showing general feeling of love and sense of a unity,” said Mohammed Al Sayegh, whose family started this initiative.

“We have seen a human tsunami over the past three days at the national stadium which shows that nobody in Bahrain likes disturbances and everyone wants peace, unity and faith in leadership,” he said.

“This loyalty shows that Bahrainis will remain a one family and can’t be divided on sectarian or other considerations,” Al Sayegh in an interview told the 24X7 News on Friday.

“Three hand-made swords called Al Jabara made of 24 carat gold and each is 2.5 kg in weight and fourth is of pure Bahraini silver. It took us four to six weeks to finish these pieces of the finest jewllery which will be presented to the leadership after the completion of the allegiance and sword campaign,” he added.

Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa announced to extend the allegiance and sword campaign to give opportunity to everyone to participate.

The campaign will cover the five governorates in addition to other locations inside Bahrain and abroad.
“The deadline extension aims at giving citizens, inside Bahrain and abroad, the opportunity to sign the pledge and the swords of allegiance to the wise leadership”, he said. He instructed concerned authorities to announce, within two days, a mechanism for citizens to continue the signing campaign.

He was speaking as he patronized the signing campaign which concluded on Saturday at the Bahrain National Stadium’s VIP Hall.

Leading personalities and senior officials representing the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, the General Organisation for Youth and Sport and the Bahrain Olympic Committee attended the ceremony.

In another initiative, Shaikh Nasser gave instructions all the signatures to be carved on the Youth Sword in bid to enter the Guinness Book of World Records as the unique sword bearing with the largest number of signatures.
Shaikh Nasser said that the Kingdom of Bahrain would always be proud and its flag flying high.

He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
He also lauded Bahrain people for rallying behind the wise leadership.

“The past period has shown the extent of Bahrain people’s solidarity with the wise leadership. Citizens have set a remarkable example in loyalty to the leadership and belonging to the country”, he said, crediting HM the King for restoring security and stability thanks to his wisdom, deep insight and far-reaching vision.

He lauded the signing of the pledge and swords, describing it as a remarkable initiative that epitomizes Bahrain people’s allegiance to the wise leadership and belonging to the motherland.
