Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Dr. Essam Abdulla Fakhro praised the initiatives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander to rehabilitate and prepare the national human resources.
Dr. Fakhro in a statement lauded the importance of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship programme (CPISP) and the crucial role it plays in supporting outstanding students and allowing them to continue their academic studies at prestigious world universities, reiterating BCCI’s continuous support for such a pioneering programme, all similar initiatives aiming to upgrade Bahraini human resources.
Dr. Fakhro urged all companies, businessmen and financial, banking and investment institutions to assume their national responsibilities and back CPIP, whose ultimate goal is to develop the ambitious Bahraini youths, asserting that CPIP has, owing to HRH Crown Prince’s constant support, achieved remarkable success through supplying the Bahraini labour market with highly qualified national cadres.
The BCCI treasurer and Board member Othman Mohammed Sharif Al Rayes presented CPISP Director Dr. Ronald Koller with a cheque for BD40, 000, marking the chamber’s third payment of its BD100, 000 pledges for 2010 and 2011.
Al Rayes affirmed that the move CPISP comes as part of its keenness to back HRH Crown Prince’s efforts to invest in Bahrain’s youngsters, the basic pillars of comprehensive and sustainable development, for the sake of preparing well-qualified Bahraini leaders in all fields.
