The Housing Ministry announced the tenders for the second phase of Al Malikiya housing project, the cornerstone for which was laid on January 16, 2011 by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
The new phase consists in building 152 new housing units out of the total number of 384. The first phase of the project has saw the construction of 232 housing units at a cost of around BD9 million.
The second phase of the project is estimated to cost BD6 million.
The Housing Ministry aims to complete the project and give away the housing units to the beneficiaries by 2012.
