Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa has today stressed the importance of maintaining security and stability in Yemen and restoring normalcy. He has made the comments at Riffa Palace as he received, on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, a letter from Yemeni President Ali Abdulla Salah.
Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Ali Mohammed Mejour has submitted the letter, which deals with recent developments in his country. Deputy King Prince Salman described the GCC-led initiative as reflecting Bahrain and GCC keenness on Yemen’s future. Dr. Mejour lauded the importance of the GCC-led initiative, which aims at settling the crisis in Yemen constitutionally. The Yemeni delegation comprises Foreign Minister Dr. Abu-Baker Al-Qirbi, Minister of State and Premier’s Office director Abdulrahman Tarmum and Yemeni Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Ali Mansour bin Sfaa. Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi and Crown Prince’s Court Chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al-Khalifa were also present.
