The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) donated more than BD 160, 000 to the University of Bahrain (UoB) to help rehabilitate the buildings that were damaged as result of the regretful incidents took place in March.
The move was revealed during a visit by a BCCI delegation, led by BCCI Chairman Dr. Essam Abdulla Fakhro to the UoB headquarters where they held a meeting with its President Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi and other officials.
“BCCI Board has taken the decision to allocate BD 160, 511 to help rebuild the damaged UoB buildings in line with BCCI’s responsibility towards the leadership, the nation and the society,” calling upon the business community to take similar initiatives in order to enhance the educational march and consolidate national solidarity and cohesion.
UoB President hailed BCCI’s support, taking pride in the distinguished national role played by BCCI at all levels.
