A group of delivery and assurance engineers from Batelco and other leading system Integrators from Bahrain and GCC countries attended the programme, which took place at Batelco’s Training Centre, located at Hamala Headquarters. Course instructor, Samuel Gabra, a visiting Avaya professional, utilised Batelco’s Broadband Network to access the Avaya Laboratories in the USA, to enhance the learning programme and facilitate online interaction between the students and the international lab.
The Avaya Certification programme , consisted of four courses under the titles of Avaya Aura Communication Manager Implementation; System Manager Administering User Profile Accounts; Advanced System Manager Administration and Session Manager Administration.
The ACIS programme certifies a candidate who has achieved a level of proficiency required to install, configure and address implementation issues for a specified Avaya product family. The knowledge gained through the Avaya programme ensures that Batelco engineers are trained to the highest standards in order to provide professional service and advice to customers. Furthermore, such training complements Batelco’s Business Solutions Portfolio and extends the technical capability that Batelco personnel offer in delivering and supporting solutions for their customers.
Batelco Chief Executive Bahrain Rashid Abdulla said that training and development for Batelco’s staff was a key priority to ensure that they have access to the relevant knowledge to carry out their jobs in a professional manner.
“Batelco places a strong emphasis on training and development and annually invests heavily to ensure that Batelco’s staff has all the necessary tools to compete effectively in today’s competitive market place,” he added.
The successful certification programme follows on from an earlier Avaya training programme which took place at Batelco’s Training Centre in April. At that time 34 Batelco Account and Sales Managers successfully completed an Avaya Professional Credential Programme.
