Dr Esam Abdulla Fakhro, the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on the sidelines of the opening of the Industrial Exhibition in Muharraq, told 24X7 News that BCCI would continue to play a crucial role in providing necessary assistance to small and medium enterprises, who hit hard in the recent crisis.
“I believe the ongoing initiative of hosting industrial products expos across Bahrain will help in stimulating the economic activity which also means a lot to the SMEs,” he said, adding that Manama Expo had recorded over 10,000 transactions which speak volume of success of the event itself.

Tamkeen in partnership with the five governorates of the Kingdom and in coordination with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is hosting the second leg of the Bahrain Trade Fair in Muharraq from 13 to 18 July 2011. Muharraq is being referred to as the “heart of the Kingdom.”
The Al Muharraq Island is even the home of Muharraq Club, which is the oldest sports club in the entire Gulf Region and this is the venue the Bahrain Trade Fair has chosen to host the Muharraq leg of the Bahrain Trade Fair.
The main objective of the Trade Fair which is being sponsored by Tamkeen will be to provide a good opportunity for business owners to exhibit and sell their products and services as well as reach new customers. At the same time, the Trade Fair is aimed to enhance the demand of the consumers and to outline/showcase the efforts of Tamkeen in developing new opportunities for the private sector.
“We are extremely happy with result we had in the Capital Governorate Trade Fair. We had a huge amount of new clients and visitor who purchase goods from our stand. We are also looking forward to participate in other Governorates, provided we get a chance to do so,” according to Bin Hindi Informatics.

“The last four months has been so difficult for us, as business has been down. We have heard great things about the Capital Governorate Fair, and we are looking forward to participate in the Muharraq Fair. We are positive that our business will get the boost it so desperately needs and also to build up our clientele in the area,” Mona Stamps, said.

Around 116 retail outlets are participating in Muharraq, which will offer everything from gold, perfume, stationery, electronics to handicrafts and textiles. Tamkeen is inviting the public to come and enjoy as well as to tap into the variety of products displayed by businesses/vendors.
