Panasonic eyes 50% increase in its regional sales

With Al Futtaim targeting a 50% increase in sales of Panasonic TVs for 2011, Panasonic and Al Futtaim Sons on Monday launched its expanded range of VIERA Plasma, LED’s and LCD TVs for the Bahraini market.

The new models again demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing consumers with the highest quality entertainment options with respect to Plasma, LED and LCD’s. In addition, the new models combine eco sensibility with superior product performance and enhanced networking functionality in a slim profile and extremely attractive design.

“In 2011, Panasonic will be expanding its range of 3D and LED televisions to include 13 different 3D and 5 LED models for discerning Bahraini consumers to select from. In addition to these new models we will include Panasonic’s VT30 and ST30 Neo Plasma 3D TVs featuring unique technologies like Infinite Blackpro and Intelligent Viera Connect,” said Abby Thomas, Deputy General Manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East.

“Al Futtaim Sons are Panasonic’s trusted partner in the Kingdom and having already achieved a 125% growth in sales compared to same period in 2010, we are confident that they will play a key role in the Kingdoms consumer electronics market, winning more market share this year,” added Thomas.

“The tech-savvy Bahraini consumer will be delighted with Panasonic’s latest state-of-the-art 3D range of products available through Al Futtaim Sons, who are Panasonic’s trusted partner in the Kingdom since 2004. We are committed to making Panasonic products more widely available in the Kingdom, and have the expertise and local market knowledge to enhance customer experience with the Panasonic brand,” Commented Pramod Kumar, Country Manager, Al Futtaim Sons.

This year, the new intelligent VIERA line up, called VIERA BLACK, will feature infinite black pro and interactive internet connection which call VIERA connect. These new models will be equipped with features like 600Hz Sub-field Drive, Infinite Black Pro.

“VIERA Connect is a new and enhanced cloud-based Internet service from Panasonic. The new VIERA Connect allows users to enjoy sports, interactive games, and a variety of other contents in addition to the standard movies and television programs on Panasonic VIERA large-screen TVs through the simple operation of a remote control,” added Thomas.

The top-of-the-line VIERA VT30 series consists of three models, the 65-inch TH-P65VT30, the 50-inch TH-P50VT30, and the 42-inch TH-P42VT30. All three VT30 models come in the new High Line Design and feature a one sheet glass design that gives the TVs a beautiful sleek new design.
