Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) has announced that the deadline to submit complaints is September 30, 2011.
“The commission has received more than 5200 complaints so far which are being examined and documented to ascertain of their validity,” according to a statement published by the Bahrain News Agency. The final report is due to be submitted to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa by October 30, 2011.
It is worth noting that the BICI was created as per royal decree number 28 for 2011 to probe the incidents which happened last February and March, to check if there were any violations of the international human rights law and provide appropriate recommendations.
