The Ministry of Health provided all the Health Centers with the required services and equipment to treat patients with Sickle Cell disease on daily basis and during weekends and public holidays.
The Ministry announced in a statement that Health Centers were fully equipped with the necessary medication for treatment according to an adopted therapeutic protocol, noting that all doctors were directed to follow and deal with patients with this protocol, only sever cases are to be referred to the SMC emergency for necessary actions.
The Ministry called upon all patients with Sickle Cell anemia to visit the nearest Health Center to their residential area, pointing out that all health centers operate from 7 am to 2:15 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm, as well as a number of health centers that operate to Midnight, which includes Sitra, Isa Town, Mohammed Jassim Kano, Al Nuaim Health Centers, while Hamad Kanoo And Northern Muharraq Health Centers round the clock.
