His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa established (I’m Bahraini & I’m Proud) Foundation for the sake of moral and material empowerment of talented, high-achieving Bahraini entrepreneurs and encouraging voluntary action.
The Foundation will create a database for job seekers and help qualify Bahrainis to compete in the local job market in prior coordination with the competent governmental bodies. The Foundation aims at supporting people with special needs, holding forums to encourage talented people and development projects and enhance the spirit of citizenship in the young generation. The Foundation’s board of trustees shall be its highest authority which shall particularly resolve the Foundation ‘s general policy in the light of its articles of association and compile an annual report on its business activity and also decide its budgeting, banking matters and final accounts. The Foundation’s board of trustees shall be presided over by its sole founder His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa plus five non-founding members to be chosen by the founder. The Foundation’s finances will be decided by its Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Founder His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as well as the donations or gifts etc. obtained by the Foundation and approved by the Ministry of Social Development. The Foundation may not obtain any individual or corporate foreign financing nor remit any funds abroad. The Foundation shall maintain its proper accounts books which to be audited by one of the locally accredited chartered accountants appointed by its board of trustees. The accounts auditor shall compile an independent annual audit report to be submitted to the Ministry of Social Development. The Foundation shall deposit its funds in its own bank account to be opened for this purpose in one of the locally accredited banks.
