This was the crux of the statement issued by His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa he issued at the end of his visit to MEOS 2011 exhibition. HRH Prime Minister opened the MEOS 2011 Exhibition on Monday at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre and toured the all major participating companies’ stalls and took keen interest in the products, services and expertise being offered by the global companies in oil and gas sector.
This year more than 300 companies from 30 countries are taking part in the MEO 2011 exhibition, which covers all areas of the upstream oil and gas industry, including production, reservoir management, drilling, completions, measurement systems, geology, geophysics, automation, transportation, health and safety, and information technology.
Participants include such major technology suppliers and operators such as Baker Hughes, BGP, CGGVeritas, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Halliburton, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Schlumberger, Shell, and Weatherford; amongst others; in addition to UK and North America pavilions plus numerous smaller specialist suppliers and distributors.
The exhibition also enjoys strong support from all 6 GCC national oil companies – Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Bapco, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Petroleum Development Oman, Qatar Petroleum and Saudi Aramco.
