His Royal Highness the Crown Prince received the Palestinian ambassador in the Kingdom of Bahrain Taha Mohammed Abdul-Qadir on the occasion of his appointment, and said that it is high time for the brotherly Palestinian people to obtain legal and moral rights in declaring an independent state and to obtain full UN membership in the same way as other peoples who won sovereignty and independence throughout the world, adding that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s supportive stances with the brotherly Palestinian people have been clearly illustrated in the historic speech of His Majesty the King on the United Nations General Assembly’s platform last week, emphasizing all support and assistance to the Arab Palestinian people and their right to create an independent sovereign state on their national territory.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also said that the realization of the Palestinian State is a noble goal of all the Middle Eastern countries and peoples as it is considered a historic step which will reap benefits to the region’s peoples and countries, and that the realization of a fair peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue shall deny the opportunity sought by some powers who seek a prolongation of the dispute and the creation of crisis and extremism.
The Palestinian State’s ambassador in the Kingdom expressed the Palestinian people’s and leadership’s gratitude for the constant support and assistance afforded to the Palestinian people from the Kingdom of Bahrain over the past eons, reminiscing the historic relations between the late Amir His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa with the late Palestinian leader Yassir Arafat and the stances of His Highness which had the greatest impact on supporting the persistence of our Arab Palestinian people.
The Palestinian ambassador hailed the stances of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain in his persistent defense of the State of Palestine, manifested in His Majesty’s support to the Palestinian people during the plight of Gaza besiege when His Majesty the King ordered the construction of schools and hospitals and granting direct support to the persistent people as well as His Majesty’s speech before the United Nations General Assembly which is considered by our people a historic, exceptional, courageous defense of our people’s right to create their own independent state on their national territory.
The Palestinian ambassador also hailed the supportive stance of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, and simultaneously, he described the noble stances of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander before all international functions and his speeches to the media and the press which have been the greatest support and assistance to the Palestinian issue.
“We consider these stances a gigantic Arab asset in supporting our people’s just cause. The Palestinian ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support and welcome he receives which made him feels while in the Kingdom of Bahrain as though he is among his own family and relatives, and thanked His Royal Highness for the support, assistance and welfare afforded to the Palestinian community residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain which is considered a unique Arab example of support to the Arab Palestinian people.”
The meeting was attended by Crown Prince Court’s chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa.
