US President Barack Obama hailed the reform steps taken by Bahrain stressing that the patriotic spirit uniting all Bahrainis is more powerful than sectarian forces trying to divide them.
Addressing the 66th session of the UN General Assembly, the US President said “In Bahrain, steps have been taken toward reform and accountability, but more are required.”
“America is a close friend of Bahrain,” he stressed. “And we believe the patriotism that binds Bahrainis together must be more powerful than the sectarian forces that would tear them apart,” he added.
