Culture Minister Shaikha bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa said the pan-Arab decision confirms Bahrain’s ability to host key events and ensure outstanding presence at all international arenas.
“The choice of Bahrain as capital of Arab Tourism 2013 adds to a string of landmark achievements over the last decade”, she said, paying tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
She also stressed resolve to continue unabated efforts to ensure further landmark achievements for the Kingdom of Bahrain under the reform project of HM King Hamad.
Jordanian Tourism and Archeology Minister Dr. Haifa Abu-Ghazala congratulated the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Capital of Arab Tourism 2013.
Meanwhile, Bahrain will also be under the spotlight next year as the Capital of Arab Culture 2012.
