His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at his court His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who briefed him on the Kingdom’s preparations to host the second edition of BIAS next January, 2012.
During the meeting, HRH Premier asserted that the great number of exhibitions and specialized economic, tourism, sport, aviation and trade activities, held in the kingdom, reflect world countries’ confidence in Bahrain’s capability to host such major events with outstanding success, noting that such functions generate new areas of international cooperation and provide new investment opportunities.
HRH Premier also praised the efforts exerted by Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa to prepare for BIAS and keenness to project the kingdom’s image as a hub of the exhibition industry, reiterating the government’s full-fledged support for such endeavours and resolve to create suitable conditions for the success of such a prestigious world event.
HRH Premier also noted that BIAS is now a reality that bears witness to the kingdom’s expertise and advanced potentials in the field of exhibition industry.
“We are proud that the kingdom has been chosen as one of the hosts of International Airshows, and we are sure that the event will be a milestone in the history of airshows thanks to the kingdom’s distinguished abilities in the exhibition industry,” HRH premier also said.
Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to HRH Premier following his directives to the ministries and government departments to provide all requirements of success for BIAS.
He also informed HRH Premier on the visits he had paid to a number of brotherly and friendly countries.
