Bahrain stressed firm commitment to implement the recommendations featuring in the BICI Report, vowing to take all required steps and measures to overcome the repercussions of the unrest and pursue the reform project initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa reaffirmed the stance as he attended the 121st session of the GCC ministerial preparatory session in Riyadh.
Saudi Foreign Minister His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal opened the session, congratulating HM the King on the submission of the BICI Report.
He paid tribute to HM the King and the Government for their wisdom and statesmanship, averting dangers jeopardizing all the GCC countries.
Shaikh Khalid updated the session on the content of the BICI Report. He also extended deep thanks and appreciation to the GCC states for their support and solidarity, reflecting their joint destiny.
The session issued a statement welcoming HM the King’s keynote speech marking the submission of the BICI Report.
It reiterated firm and unwavering support for Bahrain’s security and stability and the aspirations of its people for a better future
