His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy Terje Roed-Larsen.
They discussed cooperation between Bahrain and the United Nations.
HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s continuous keenness to boost cooperation with the international organization and avail of its development programmes.
He also hailed the efforts of the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to promote international peace and support poor countries by providing them with all kinds of humanitarian and development assistance.
The latest Arab and international developments were also discussed.
HM King Hamad asked the UN envoy to convey his greetings to the UN Chief.
The meeting was attended by the Royal Court Minister, HM the King’s Advisor for Cultural and Scientific Affairs and the Royal Court Follow-up Minister.
