This came as HRH Premier paid a visit to the Interior Ministry where he convened with the Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, heads of security bodies and senior officers.
HRH Premier pledged that the security bodies will be provided with all needed support in order to be able to carry out their duties within the legal and constitutional frameworks, asserting that their essential role in safeguarding public and private properties and enforcing law and order is widely appreciated.
HRH Premier extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the security officers for their steadfastness and dedication in the service of the kingdom and its citizens, which, he said has helped the country overcome the regretful incidents that gripped it recently, urging them to continue promoting the state of law and institutions and protect Bahrain’s democratic march and freedom.
HRH Prime Minister also commended the efforts of the security bodies to thwart all attempts aiming to undermine the kingdom’s security and stability, calling upon them to adhere to transparency and international standards, especially the protection of human rights which, he stressed, should be promoted as a culture.
HRH Premier also praised the security bodies’ advanced performance and equipment, lauding the development projects spearheaded by the Interior Minister, in line with the government policies in this regard.
HRH Premier also asserted that sectarianism is an odious disease, affirming that Bahraini people’s cohesion will foil any attempts to spread it among the members of the Bahraini society.
The Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa extended, on behalf of himself and the Interior Ministry’s affiliates, heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his incessant support for the Interior Ministry, asserting that HRH Premier is a model of giving and dedication in the service of the cherished nation.
He also vowed that security officers will do their utmost in order safeguard the security and stability of the kingdom, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
