Salmabad Girls Primary School and Sanabis Boys Primary School came today under attack by saboteurs who set fire next to the schools’ fences.
Other schools were also targeted in a spate of violence by vandals who threw stones and attacked the schools’ watchmen.
The Education Ministry Public Relations and Media Directorate denounced, in a statement, the rioters’ attacks on public schools saying that these criminal acts were designed mainly to spread panic, disrupt education and deprive children of their right to education in a safe and stable environment.
The Education Ministry is doing its best to avert repeat of such acts of sabotage by stepping up control of educational establishments targeted by the vandals, the statement revealed.
