This came as HRH Premier received today, at the Gudaibiya palace, in the presence of the Head of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, the Representatives Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and the Shura Council Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, a number of officials.
During the meeting, HRH Premier lauded the “honourable historic achievement” of the Bahraini National Football Team at the Arab Games, concluded recently in Doha, stressing that the landmark victory, attained thanks to the tremendous efforts exerted by the players and the technical and administrative staff and their determination to raise the kingdom’s position higher at international sports gatherings, has filled the hearts of all Bahrainis with joy.
Concerning regional and Arab issues, HRH Premier pointed out that GCC peoples are blessed with modern life’s requirements of which many countries are deprived, noting that GCC leaders and governments are constantly trying to create the most suitable ways and mechanisms that can ensure that their citizens take optimum advantage of development.
HRH Premier also called for the need to be vigilant in order to foil all attempts aiming to sow division among the Arab nation, stressing the importance of enhancing regional and international cooperation in order to protect the region from chaos which can harm its development process.
