Dr Esam Abdulla Fakhro, Chairman Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) on Monday highlighted the importance of freezing on LMRA levy and lauded the decision of the Cabinet in this regard.
The Cabinet meeting chaired by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on Sunday extended the waiver on LMRA levy till April 1, 2012.
Dr. Esam said that the decision to extend the freeze on LMRA levy would contribute significantly by alleviating the negative economic impacts as result of the recent events in the country and suffered by the private sector, especially small and medium enterprises.
Dr Fakhro also praised the efforts of the Government for implementing the recommendations of the dialogue of national consensus, particularly those related to mitigation of the burden of financial institutions and private sector companies and to help them in overcoming any difficulties that may be encountered due to the incidents passed by the country during the months of February and March.
