Bahraini Ali Ahmed Radhi, 22, died after he was hit by a car as he was crossing the highway, it was announced on Friday.
“The traffic report said that the driver of the car which hit the victim also lacked prudence,” Traffic Prosecutor Hussain Buali said.
The twenty-three-year old man, from Sitra, admitted the accident, denying any responsibility on his part and putting the blame on the deceased.
He claimed that he was heading to his house in Sitra when the pedestrian crossed the street surprisingly. The Traffic Prosecutor heard two witnesses who confirmed the same narrative.
The coroner conducted a post mortem on the body and revealed bruises and fractures as cited in the investigation.
