Dr. Mirza reviewed the power plant’s sections and components including transformers, high and low voltage breakers, control systems and modern equipment supplied, and was briefed by Deputy Chief executive for planning and projects about the construction stages, power capacity and what will the power plant provides of electrical energy.
Dr. Mirza praised the achievement, and highlighted that the power plant is considered one of the significant plants that provide a number of different projects in Hidd industrial area with electricity. He also pointed out that there has been effective coordination to accomplish all the work for the plant in record time and also run it according to the programme prepared in advance.
Dr. Mirza added that these major projects carried out by Electricity and Water Authority is the outcome of the unlimited support by the leadership, headed by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa. It is also the outcome of the wise government’s support, chaired by His Royal Highness, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, the Chairman of the EDB, Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Dr. Mirza highlighted that these projects are for the interests and needs of the citizens and also for the housing and development projects in the Kingdom. He also stated that the plant was equipped with machines by a group of foreign companies, alluding that its total cost was four million Bahraini Dinars.
At the end of his statement, Dr. Mirza thanked all the Authority’s affiliates for maintaining their efforts, and the commitment of the Electricity and Water Authority to provide electric power to all public and private enterprises in the Kingdom of Bahrain with the highest quality in record time. He also stressed the Authority’s commitment to provide electrical power to all the citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain and investment projects (industrial or commercial) with the highest quality in record time as well.
