Saboteurs set an electrical transformer ablaze in Al-Maqshah area and tried to prevent the Civil Defence Vehicles from putting out the fire using Molotov Cocktails, the Interior Ministry said via its Twitter account.
The vandals are blocking traffic on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway, it added, pointing out that the security forces are dealing with them according to legal procedures.
The ministry apologized to the users of Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway for the traffic disruption stressing that the highway is being secured and will be re-opened soon.
