Delegated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Minister of State for Implementation Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa conveyed the condolences of HM the King, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, Bahrain Government and people to members of the Holy Synod following the death of the Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church His Holiness Shenouda III, Patriarch of Alexandria.
Al-Mutawa paid a posthumous tribute to the late Patriarch, hailing his dedication to promote the spirit of justice and love among people.
He hailed the deceased as the voice of wisdom, humility, moderation and national unity and the symbol of peace and amity, lauding his firm belief in tolerance and co-existence between sects and religions.”
Pope Shenouda III will always be remembered in the annals of history for his lifetime noble deeds and dedication”, he said.
The members of the Holy Synod expressed thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership and the people of Bahrain for their good feelings which reflect strong fraternal relations.
