“It is all because of your efforts that the industry has progressed thus far and I have no doubt in my mind at all that with your continued dedication and support, the industry will continue its healthy march forward and contribute immensely towards the growth and prosperity of Bahrain,” he said.
“Bahrain has 73-year old, rich history of insurance. Today, I would like to take this opportunity to specially thank all those people who have been instrumental in laying the foundation of the insurance industry in Bahrain,” he said.
“I would also like to thank all those who have successfully led the industry over the years, those who have enriched the industry with their knowledge and experience and have worked tirelessly and honestly to ensure that industry continues to prosper. The country owes a lot to you.
“As you all are probably aware, Insurance Day will be an annual event. It is not just to recognize and honor people who have contributed immensely to the growth and prosperity of the insurance industry but also to create public awareness about insurance by choosing a particular relevant and catchy theme. The objective of the public awareness campaign is to increase the penetration levels of insurance in the region in general and Bahrain in particular.
“I am sure that the industry will work closely towards that objective and support public awareness campaign in order to enhance the public knowledge on the basics of insurance and the importance of such financial services to the public.
