HM King lauds trade union roles in the country

His Majesty King Hamad
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who received at Safriya Palace the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions Secretary General and the members of the general secretariat, lauded the role played by the trade unions in the progress and development of the country.

His Majesty welcomed all expressing his happiness on this meeting that had come immediately after him receiving the final report of the National Committee for the implementation of recommendations made by the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI).

His Majesty also expressed his hope towards a new brighter phase of Bahrain’s national history for all Bahraini workers in various fields wishing all continued success towards the interests and future of the country.

At the outset of the meeting His Majesty lauded the efforts of the federation affirming his continued care at ensuring all job opportunities for citizens and finding appropriate solutions for the return of all those suspended from work. He also highlighted the fact that he did not accept any Bahraini to be unemployed. Within this context His Majesty said that the Ministry of Labour continued its efforts towards the return of all expelled employees especially that the history of Bahrain affirms the care of the Bahraini people for work and their continued efforts exerted towards development.

His Majesty indicated that the stage that the country had gone through must be taken as an example through the process of consultation and exchange of opinion on various issues and topics that concern the nation and citizens. He also expressed his trust that Bahrain would return by God’s grace as it was before through the unity and pure ideals of the Bahraini people working together towards reinforcing the Bahraini economy and further elevating it to the better.

His Majesty welcomed the opinion made by the federation during his meeting affirming that all good and correct intentions aided towards resolving all issues.

He also expressed his hope for more cooperation with the private sector in the return of those expelled that have not yet been reinstated. His Majesty affirmed that the Bahraini society was a tolerant one and closely-knit which was a characteristic that would assist greatly in the coming phase stressing that joint efforts of all would overcome all issues through good will among the people.

His Majesty wished all Bahraini workers continued success towards achieving further achievements and accomplishments.

Federation’s secretary general Sayed Salman Jaffer Al Mahfodh expressed his thanks and appreciation for His Majesty the King for his continued support for Bahraini workers affirming that workers were part of this society. He also thanks His Majesty on his care for the return of those who were expelled from work.
