Chairman of the founding committee of “Bahraini and Proud” Exhibition, Khalid Al Ameen, praised the role of the President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports also chairman of the Bahraini Olympics Committee (BOC) HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in his position as honorary sponsor of “Bahraini and Proud” for his constant support to youth and sports.
Al-Ameen added that the exhibition has been prepared in compliance with Shaikh Nasser’s directives. And he welcomed local media which supported the project, and portrayed it so well to the public, which is a factor in the high percentage of participation.
Al-Ameen assured that the project was founded so as to enhance patriotic feelings in Bahraini youths and in order to invest their creative energies in small- and medium-sized enterprises, as well as discover young talents in various areas.
He lauded the cooperation of the public and private sectors, and praised the role of 60 initial volunteers, who turned into 100 later on. The 100 volunteers were instructed on the about the nature of their assignation during the exhibition.
Al-Ameen revealed that since the beginning of registration, 120 participants registered who possessed unique talents, and who shall be given an area of 2×2 meters to be able to showcase their talents. More than 50 young Bahrainis will showcase their talents on the stage, such as singing, acting, fashion designs made by young Bahraini designers, make-up artists.
There shall also be a demonstration of literary talents for example poesy readings, in addition to sports talents.
