They also valued its sustainable efforts in presenting ambitious programmes and projects to create job opportunities for Bahrain job seekers and rehabilitate them.
The Shura members also appreciated the important role played by the Tender Board in preserving public money and promoting the principles of transparency, which has helped strengthen investors’ confidence in Bahrain’s economy, and thus improved Bahrain’s investing position at the regional and global arenas.
The members also that these gains were achieved due to His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision and his pioneering reform project, the efforts of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Chairman of the Economic Development Board (EDB).
They also pledged to respond to all legislative requirements needed to achieve overall social and economic development in Bahrain.
The Chief Executive of the Fund (Tamkeen), Mahmoud Al-Kooheji highlighted the role played by the Labour Fund as a catalyst for economic development through the existing partnership between the Fund, state institutions, private sector and the non-governmental organizations, pointing out that Tamkeen will spare no part to provide jobs that appeal to Bahraini job seekers.
During the meeting, the operational plan of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) for the year 2012 was presented, which included the proposed projects and efforts to be undertaken in support and development of private sector and human resources.
The meeting ended with replying to the questions presented by the Shura members about the role played by the Labour Fund in harmonizing between education outputs and labor market needs.
Also, the meeting discussed the requirements that fall within their responsibility as a legislative authority toward the development of goals and performance of the Labour Fund.
