HRH the Prime Minister stressed the importance of national security describing it as a common responsibility that has to be shared by all. He said there has to be no laxity when the nation becomes targeted and undermining security puts people’s safety and national achievements at stake.
He added some people tried to destabilize the nation and jeopardize the national economy, not heeding that they are the beneficiaries from this economy which they are trying to harm.
He said the nation is for all and not restricted to one component that is trying to impose their orientations.
“It is impossible for those who care for the national interest to choose violence and sabotage to achieve their goals,” HRH the Premier asserted.
“We are following the long-breath policy, wisdom and self-control in tackling the situation, believing at the same time that the disease should not be left till it spreads in all the body. Treatment undergoes different stages.”
HRH the Prime Minister urged mass media to lay bare the truth, debunk fallacies and thwart defamatory campaigns led by some to tarnish the kingdom’s bright image.
He also underlined his keenness on paying field visits nationwide to assess sufficiency and efficiency of the government services provided for citizens.
Talking about regional and international developments, he said regional security is targeted and not only Bahrain’s.
“Who wanted to undermine security wanted Bahrain to be the gateway for his conspiracies to all the GCC countries. Yet, these hopes were dashed by the honourable popular and GCC stance.”
