Bahrain-German diplomatic ties turn forty

Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa sent a letter to his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle marking the 40th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Germany.

He praised the two countries’ tremendous achievements over the past years thanks to outstanding bilateral relations which culminated in the historic visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Germany in 2008.

Shaikh Khalid also expressed keenness to intensify work with Germany in the next years to further promote bilateral relations which are based on mutual respect.
