During his meeting with US Vice President Joe Biden, Prince Salman said that the continuation of the strategic alliance with the United States that had positive impact over the years was the result of mutual understanding and coordination between the two countries.
Within this context HRH Prince Salman extended his appreciation to the United States for its support to overcome the situation in the previous period.
Both sides also discussed various regional and international issues with a focus on Bahrain’s situation.
With this regards HRH Prince Salman stressed that efforts were being exerted towards a comprehensive solution that would fulfill the aspirations of all sides and that was a target to be achieved under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to preserve the nation and its interests.
He also emphasized that despite the tension and violence, HRH Prince Salman had great hope that the true national voice would conqueror and supreme national interest would prevail and that all will be in agreement.
The Kingdom of Bahrain he said sought on an official level to vitalize various steps aimed towards overcoming the impact of the crisis and establish more development and growth bearing in mind that change was process that need time.
Biden affirmed the continued strategic and military cooperation between the United States and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This said Biden would contribute towards the security and stability of the region along with the historic ties between the two countries.
He also hailed the efforts being exerted by Bahrain toward s the implementation of the recommendations made by the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) wishing Bahrain continued success on all levels.
