Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) hailed HM the King’s ratification of the constitutional amendments project which has been approved by the legislative power.
BCCI Chairman Dr. Essam Abdullah Fakhro considered the royal endorsement of the amendments, as it has been described by HM the King, a historic breakthrough in Bahrain’s history.
He said the ratification of these amendments reflects HM the King’s keen interest to achieve national security and unity as well as the aspirations of the Bahraini people.
“It also reflects a desire to protect the supreme interests of the nation, further develop the democratic experience in Bahrain and boost true partnership in running the state’s affairs according to the principles of popular will and the sovereignty of the law,” Dr. Fakhro added.
“The move represents a new renaissance for Bahrain in the prosperous era of HM the King and a boost to the democratic march and the comprehensive vision of the royal reform process,” he stressed.
Dr. Fakhro called on all to assume their responsibilities in placing the national interest and unity above anything else, urging to exert more efforts to promote unity and the values of tolerance and loyalty.
He also praised the government’s efforts, spearheaded by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, in ensuring success of the reform process as well as the major national role of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Economic Development Board (EDB), through his inspiring and visionary plan for the economy to further thrive.
