The Bahrain Journalists Association has elected new board. The BJA board will feature Ehab Ahmed (Al-Watan-193 votes), Muhannad Suleiman (Information Affairs Authority – 185 votes), Samah Allam (Al-Watan-179 votes), Ahdeya Ahmed (IAA-166 votes), Osama Al-Majid (Al-Biald-135 votes), Aisha Al-Siddiqa (Al-Ayyam-118 votes), Abdulla Al-Mannai (Akhbar Al-Khaleej – 114 votes), Ali Majeed (Al-Ayyam-81 votes).
Fareed Ahmed (Al-Watan) and Zainab Abdul-Amir (Al-Amir) have failed in their bid, totalling respectively 71 and 59 votes.
Al-Bilad editor-in-chief Moanas Al-Murdi has already been elected unopposed, taking over from outgoing BJA chief, Al-Ayyam editor-in-chief Isa Al-Shaiji.
