“We have all come to depend on the electronic services to provide the best services for our customers. We believe that these are all necessary steps to fulfill our vision of becoming a market leader in financial products and services and to provide alternative channels through which our customers can securely and dependably manage their banking needs,” Khalid Rafea, Head of Banking Group at KFH-Bahrain, said.
“Our customers will now be able to make such payments for more than ten service providers using this new service.” It is a simple transaction whereas customers will need to fill in an application form – available with service providers – indicating his or her account number which will permit the automatic debit. Subsequently, there is a secure account verification process that allows the billed amounts to be automatically deducted from the customer’s designated account,” he added.
The Direct Debit service is yet another milestone on KFH-Bahrain’s roadmap for providing e-services to its clients. In 2011, the Bank enhanced a number of automated services that improved the customer’s online experience when banking with KFH-Bahrain. The much-appreciated Mobile Banking service introduced in 2011 offers a real time, user-friendly interactive service where customers can conduct a wide range of secure banking services around the clock and any day of the week. The other highly commended service was the introduction of an iPhone and Blackberry application – for which KFH-Bahrain won the prestigious Bahrain eContent Award in 2011.
These award winning services are working in parallel to the set up of a state-of-the-art Data Centre, which, at the time, was the first bank to have an in-Kingdom virtualization technology which is capable of providing a fault tolerant, dependable and interruption free operation.
