The agreement was signed by Bahrain Government’s CEO, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, and LG’s CEO Daehoon Kim, with the presence of Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Hassan Fakhroo.
The project of developing the commercial licenses system is considered one of Kingdom of Bahrain’s strategic projects, where a great number of ministries and governmental institutions participate in implementing the project, with support and monitoring of the EDB and the E-Government Authority.
The project aims at creating a sophisticated, efficient and electronic system for the registration and licensing business establishments in the Kingdom of Bahrain, re-engineering the procedures and facilitating and simplifying them in accordance with best international practices.
In addition, the project aims at having a complete connectivity with all electronic systems of all the related governmental institutions, together with improving Bahrain’s rank in competitive businesses in various global indicators in line with the economic vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Hassan Fakhroo said that this project which has a budget of about $ 8 million, will contribute in providing a comprehensive station through special electronic services. He added that a number of special committees have been established for the implementation of this project including related government institutions, and working team from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, e-Government Authority, and EDB.
The CEO of the E-Government Authority, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed said that the E-Investor Project which is considered of a strategic importance for the Kingdom of Bahrain will accomplish many important goals, such as simplification of procedures for attaining commercial registration and related licenses.
It will also provide the information and presents adequate support to investors and encourage them to choose Bahrain as their favorite destination for their investments, in addition to regularly and accurately providing high quality services to various segments.
