Silah launches inProgress Passport

May 27, 2012
0

Joe Tawfik, CEO, Silah
Silah Gulf (Silah), a multi-award winning business process outsourcing (BPO) and customer experience provider serving the GCC region, introduced the Silah Passport, a part of their inProgress program, that provides Bahraini employees details of annual objectives, training and development requirements as well and career aspirations within the organisation.

The purpose of the Silah Passport is to visually recognize training achievements and awards received by Bahraini employees thereby aiding in the decision-making process of their career progress within Silah.

“We are delighted to have launched the Silah Passport. This unique program is designed for the mutual benefit of Bahraini employees and the company,” Joe Tawfik, CEO, Silah, said.

“The inProgress plan is designed for management to work hand-in-hand with employees to achieve common goals and at the same time drive future career opportunities for high performing employees. As an organisation we are constantly thinking of innovative ways to engage with our workforce at a level that encourages them to reach higher standards of customer satisfaction,” Tawfik, added.

“We are aligning employees to our company goals, and giving them a real opportunity to share their aspirations for future career advancement. Our Learning & Development Academy will work with our top people to develop them further so they can be future leaders of the company. It is a real win/win model that hopefully gets Silah recognised as a future Employer of Choice in the GCC,” he said.

“The overall objective of the inProgress program is to help maintain or improve individual job performance, realise potential and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Silah as well as increase staff retention. We hope that through tools like the Silah Passport we are able to efficiently maintain complete documentation of every employee to monitor their past and present performance against objectives, align career development plans, identify high achievers and work with those who need further development,” Ruth Williams, Learning & Development Manager at Silah, added.

The Passport is stamped by Silah’s Learning & Development Department and recorded in a central Learning Management System. Employees aspiring for higher positions within Silah can provide a comprehensive summary of their career path to the interviewer justifying their case. Silah has been adopting various new initiatives to help the organisation evolve and adapt to the changing business and social environments thereby providing highly engaging and satisfying work environment for its large workforce.
