The honouring ceremony was held in the presence of Information Affairs Authority President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
Head of the Jury Fahd bin Khalid Al Anizan thanked Bahrain for hosting the festival, expressing special gratitude to IAA and festival President Shaikh Fawaz, Acting Director General of Bahrain Radio and Television and Deputy President of the festival Ali Al Rumaihi and Director General of the Gulf Radio and Television Corporation (GRTC) and festival Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Saeed Abu Ras for their key role in making the event a success.
He also lauded objectivity and transparency in judging the TV drama and radio work taking part in the festival.
He thanked GRTC for adopting this year the distance arbitration system of TV programmes thanks to which 10 offshoots of the competitions have been evaluated by a specialised committee in quality criteria.
